Mental Health Treatment
Mental Health Illness is extremely common. Unfortunately Mental Health Treatment is not always received by the individuals who are suffering. According to studies by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), one out of five adults suffer from some type of mental illness. A lot of teenagers struggle to admit to themselves that they have a problem that involves mental health or other disorders. One of the main reasons for this is that mental health problems are not always easy to see. Mental health can manifest in a variety of symptoms such as mood swings, irritability, trouble sleeping, hallucinations, anxiety, depression and many others. Similar to most health problems, mental health requires professional diagnosis and treatment.
At Avanti, one of Denver’s premiere mental health facilities, we work to identify these issues along with other co-occurring disorders paired with substance abuse disorders. Some of the more common diagnoses we see include mood disorders, behavioral disorders, eating disorders, self harm, personality disorders, trauma and co-dependency. We have a uniquely effective personalized approach combining individual and group therapy, family counseling, CBT, DBT, and a variety of other proven, evidence-based clinical methods to help combat these disorders.
Dual Diagnosis
At Avanti, we are a dual-licensed facility through the Behavioral Health Administration, treating teens and young adults who have primary substance use or mental health diagnosis. Each participant is assessed and will meet with both our clinical and medical staff to identify any correlations between mental health and substance use or other harmful and addictive behaviors. Our programs are designed by our dedicated clinical staff to address both substance use dependence as well as primary mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.
