Letter from our Founder
As a parent, there are few things quite as defeating as the seeing your child on a path of self-destruction or unable to navigate life because of mental health or substance use. You feel responsible, frustrated, scared, confused, and broken. When my son entered treatment, I felt like a complete failure as a father. Through education, therapy, and group support, I quickly learned the “3 Cs”—I didn’t cause it, I can’t control it and I can’t cure it.
Although adolescent treatment facilities are limited in number, I was fortunate to find a good facility, with excellent treatment for my son. Thankfully, he is living in successful recovery and has devoted his life to giving back and helping educate others. I took inspiration from his strength and determination—resolute to act and personally work to create better resources to address this growing needs of our youth.
Respectfully,
Ed Venerable

The Avanti Origin
Our family has spent many years enjoying the outdoors in the mountains of Vail, Colorado. While there I learned of and was inspired by the story of the town’s founding. It begins, in part, with a group of veterans of an elite US Army unit called the 10th Mountain Division. They trained at Camp Hale, not far from Vail where they performed in some of the most demanding mountain conditions, creating a legacy for their attitude of perseverance. Their motto was “Sempre Avanti – Always Forward.” That spirit helped drive them in the fight against Nazi Germany in the Italian Alps during World War II.
It is from this rich history that the name for our company was born. We believe that when given the right tools, a sense of self-belief, and a set of intentional goals, these emerging adults can also reach the summit. While the decision to take effective action can sometimes seem difficult, from personal experience I can assure you it is worth the effort.
